Standing at the gift-wrapping bar of your average luxe store, Phyllis Foundis was beginning her day. It was a morning like any other – only it really wasn’t. You see, gentle reader, the Love Soul origin story was about to unfold…
A gentlemen in a crushed fedora approached the counter. He was a presenter on Sydney’s Eastside Radio – the legendary 40-year-old Community Radio Station. A few minutes later, a contact was made, his gift was wrapped and the seed of Love Soul was sown.
Our Mission
Divisions dissolve when we share the Love we feel for that sweet Soul music.
Narratives that divide us aren’t going anywhere, anytime soon. Race, sexuality, gender. The chatter, incessant. The noise, deafening.
But our desire to connect with each other is louder. It’s in the high vibe music we hear. The connections we make. The love we speak. The soul we feel.
Love Soul may have started life out as a radio show, but we realised early on that it’s also a way of showing up in the world.
So. At the risk of getting all cliched on yo’ ass (!), the Love Soul mission is based on connecting humanity. And in a world full of warring opinions, this is a revolutionary act.
